Welcome to Lake Eden

lifeisbetteratthelake.jpg

Our special lake is enjoyed throughout the year. Summer is by far the busiest season with swimming, water skiing, fishing, kayaking, and canoeing. As the weather cools in fall, the lake quiets among a spectacular display of fall color. The occasional kayaker or fisherman can be spotted on the lake. The winter opens up opportunities for ice fishing, cross country skiing across the lake, and skating for those that have the energy to clear the snow. In the spring, AKA Mud season, you will start to see the occasional boater, fisherman and the loons return.

There is a Boy Scouts of America camp located at the north end. There is also a private and town run campground as well as a town beach. At the Northwest end (adjacent to Boy scout camp) is a public boat & fishing access, which is managed by the VT. State Dept. of Fish & Wildlife. Lake Eden is a tricky lake with a lot of low spots. Be sure to pay attention to any buoys and review the map located under Lake Data & Maps. We would hate to add you to our prop wall of shame.

Sadly, the extremely invasive species Eurasian Water Milfoil was newly discovered in the lake July 2022. Therefore, please make every effort to inspect and clean your boats and recreational equipment before you introduce them into our lake or into another body of water after you have been in Lake Eden. We have a Greeter program at the Boat access in the summer months that can assist you and provide additional information.
