Buoys

Place & remove buoys to designate the low spots in the lake each spring & fall.

Focus on the Town Beach & campground to assist with educating campers and day-trippers on spread prevention of Invasive Species.

Newsletter

Looking for someone/s to create a spring and fall newsletter.

VIP Team

Help protect our lake by paddling a designated shoreline section in a kayak or canoe to spot invasive species.

  • Commitment: Just once per season (ideally 2–3 times due to EWM infestation)

  • Training: Free, online or in-person, provided by the state

Any time spent assists us with securing grant $.

Fundraising

Any sort of small or large fundraising campaigns you would like to do!  Monies can be used toward EWM mitigation, watershed management projects, social committee, or any association related initiative. 

Membership

Send out the membership registration form each spring and maintain a current list of LEA members.

Invasive Species Brochure

Develop a simple brochure, to give campers/day trippers and for homeowner’s to post for renters, on spread prevention.  The State and our Greeters Program have a variety of material available that can be used or modified for our specific needs.

Photographer

We need someone/s to capture photos of EWM treatments and the volunteers assisting. These will be used for grant reporting purposes and to post on the website, Facebook page, news publications, etc.

Lake Wise Promoter

“Lake Wise” is a program through the VT DEC that encourages and supports Lake healthy practices on lake front properties.   Become a promoter of this great program.  See more info at Shoreline Health.

Social Committee

Social gathering are key to helping build community ties & pride.  Think big and small.  Do what ever you want and as little as you want.  The Association can offer a small budget to work with.

Education

Looking for people to organize forums to educate the community on topics such as EWM treatments.   Involves scheduling speakers, securing a venue, and advertising the event with support from the BOD.  

Signage

Explore signage on Private Lake roads to increase awareness of EWM and spread prevention methods.

Hand Harvesters

Volunteers are trained on how to properly pull EWM via snorkeling or diving.

Water Shed Program

This committee works as a liaison with the Lamoille County Conservation Committee & the Town Of Eden on implementing projects identified in the Lake Eden Watershed Action Plan to reduce runoff of minerals and sediment into the lake.  See more info at Shoreline Health.
